I was born and raised in Houston and surrounding areas. Christ graciously saved me in 1987 after I answered a call to the ministry by faith. I received the Baptism in The Holy Spirit at a youth retreat not long after I was saved – also by faith with the evidence of speaking in tongues and glorifying God.
I came to Restoration Church back in 2005 and was accepted into the deliverance program of Restore To More. I needed the help at that time due to not being able to get free from the problems that surrounded my life. I left Restoration Church of my own accord thinking that I could handle things on my own – but how wrong I was.
I fell back into my old lifestyle of drugs, sex and clubbing for a while, but still knew that there was a call on my life. I would be in and out of church and tried to get back on track, but never could seem to get “into the groove” with God. Some pretty extreme circumstances happened to me that caused my pastor at the time to contact Restoration Church, and tell them of the serious mental and emotional torment I was in and had been experiencing. This was around July of 2015, and at the end of August 2015 I was officially back “in my place” at Restoration Church – at least physically – though still emotionally tormented.
Through the love and patience of God and this church family, headed by Pastors Phillip and Maribel Morris, I am being Restored to More, hearing from the Lord, reading the Word, Praying, being in fellowship with the brothers and sisters, and giving of my time, talents, and treasure for the Kingdom of God.
I am so thankful to be here that words simply cannot express, nor would it be appropriate to try to define the life that I have been given since I have been here and rededicated myself to the Lordship of Jesus Christ – He is the LORD. I currently assist in the media department working in the sound booth, and producing Pastor Phillip’s teaching schools on video. I am also being trained in deliverance ministry and hope to also cultivate a worship ministry as the Lord directs.
I like what Paul tells the church at Rome – which I took to be the Lord speaking to me.
For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established– that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
My heart sings glorious songs
They’re bubbling up from a wellspring of Life
